1. Overview

Welcome to DriveDash. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our app.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. DriveDash collects the minimum data necessary and operates entirely on your device wherever possible. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

2. Device Permissions We Access

DriveDash requests access to the following features on your device:

User preferences: The app saves your preferences (language, speech speed, favourite contacts) locally on your device only, using Android SharedPreferences.

All permissions are optional. The app continues to function even if you decline them, with limited functionality only.

Anonymous usage analytics: To understand how the app is used and to improve it, we collect anonymous usage data and send it to our analytics backend (Supabase): an anonymous device identifier (derived from your Android device ID) used only to avoid counting the same device twice, and usage events only (such as app opens, first message read, feature usage, and viewing the upgrade screen). This data never includes message content, contacts, location, or audio recordings; it is never sold and is not used for advertising.

Bug reports: When you choose to send a bug report or suggestion through the app, we receive the text you wrote together with your device model and Android version, solely to address the issue.

3. How We Use Your Data

Collected data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Voice control: converting voice commands to text to perform actions in the app
• Saving your parking location and navigating back to it
• Displaying notifications in a driver-friendly interface
• Improving your experience by saving personal preferences

4. Sharing Data with Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.

The app may use the following external services:

• Supabase our analytics backend, which stores anonymous usage data and bug reports
• Google Speech-to-Text for converting speech to text, if your device is configured to use this service
• Waze / Google Maps for navigation, only when you choose to open them

These services are subject to their own privacy policies.

5. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and administrative measures to protect your information:

• Personal data (contacts, location, message content, and audio recordings) is stored locally on your device only and is never sent to external servers
• The only data that leaves your device is anonymous usage analytics and user-initiated bug reports, as described in section 2
• The app does not require registration or account creation

6. Your Rights

Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, you have the right to:

• Access: request to see what data is stored about you
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: delete all data stored on your device by uninstalling the app
• Objection: stop using the app at any time

7. Data Controller

Data controller: DriveDash app operator.

• The app does not maintain a data registry as defined under the Privacy Protection Law
• The app does not record phone calls, does not listen in the background, and does not store voice data
• Granting permissions is voluntary and can be revoked at any time through your device settings

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new update date. We recommend checking the policy periodically.
